Matthew, yesterday was a difficult day for me because I was reminded of all the pain and suffering you must have been dealing with on your own. I only wish I could have made it easier for you to unload some of those burdens on me, your mum. I'll never stop wondering if things would have turned out differently if you'd had been able to open up and talk more about your feelings. I hope it wasn't because you didn't think I would take you seriously 😢. Since losing you we are doing lots to raise the profile of mental health and the importance of talking about it.
